This option will find the given app’s appleid (only shown on screen). - apptool -rm “apple@id.here”
This option will remove the iTunesMetadata.plist from apps purchased under the given appleid (minimal screen output). - apptool -rs “apple@id.here”
This option will restore previously removed iTunesMetadata.plists to apps purchased under the given appleid (minimal screen output). - apptool -cu
This option will list previously cracked apps that have recently been updated and not yet been cracked (only shown on screen). - apptool -uc
This option will list uncracked encrypted apps (only shown on screen). - apptool -cd
This option will allow you to switch between /var/mobile/Applications directories (unlimited directories; onscreen instructions). - apptool -ad
This option will allow you to backup or restore app data (onscreen prompt). - apptool -un “appname”
This option will uninstall the given app.
Brief overview:
Options 1 to 5 are safe. Option 6 can be bad if something goes wrong (I have tested this personally and it is fine on its own). Options 8 and 9 will require you to add a snippet of code to a terminal cracking script (not compatible with cracking GUIs) to be run in root (doesn’t work without root). Option 10 will require a lot of space on your device for the backed up files.
Interested?
If you are interested in beta-testing this, please agree to the following first:
- You are taking this risk on your own volition.
- You are at least semi-proficient in troubleshooting iDevice problems and you are ok with reading words on a terminal.
- You will not be babysat with elaborate, step-by-step instructions from me.
- You will return feedback in the form of comments on this page so that everyone can see, and not on Twitter or IRC.
- You will receive eternal gratitude from me.
